Reservations

Reservations are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a minimum of two nights’ stay unless a special exception is granted. Monthly rates may be available in October through March, upon request.

Occupancy Limits

Occupancy is limited to guest capacity as indicated on this website or the website used for booking. Lucky Enough Property Services strictly enforces this limit, and guests exceeding the maximum occupancy may be asking to vacate the rental immediately, with no refund given. Infants and toddlers are generally not counted in the occupancy total.

Termination of Occupancy

Lucky Enough Property Services reserves the right to ask a renter to vacate any unit, at any time, without refund, for activity considered detrimental to the property, the facility, or in violation of Lucky Enough Property Services' or the respective building or community’s rules and regulations. This includes the use of illegal drugs, including marijuana.

Cancellation Policy

Refunds in the event of the cancellation of a reservation made through Lucky Enough Property Services are subject to the refund schedule following. Reservations made through third-party platforms (such as VRBO or AirBNB) are subject to the cancellation terms listed on that site. No refunds are given in the event of an early check-out or for inclement weather. We highly recommend travel insurance to cover these events.

Check-In/Check-Out Time

Check-In: Check-in is at 4 p.m. or after, unless other arrangements have been made ahead of time. Although we make every attempt to ensure our properties are ready at 4 p.m., this cannot be guaranteed in case of an emergency. Do not enter units or leave personal items in the units before check-in. Our locks are monitored remotely and guests checking in before 4 p.m. will be charged a minimum of a $50 fee for early check-in.

Some situations very infrequently cause delayed check-ins. When this happens, Lucky Enough Property Services will communicate this to guests and ask that they do not enter the unit until it has been approved by our team, who will then advise the guest that it is ready.

Check-out: Unless otherwise given express written consent, check-out must take place before 10 a.m. on the scheduled day of departure, as displayed as a part of the Guest Agreement. Guests checking out after the approved time will incur a fee equal to one nights’ stay in the unit, but must still vacate the unit on the assigned check-out day.

Door codes may be given ahead of time, but they will not work until check-in time and they will de-activate at check-out time. This is automated.

Linens

All vacation rental homes and condos include bath towels and bed linens with each reservation. Therefore, there is no need to bring your own. We do not provide beach or pool towels, and ask that you do not use the provided bath towels at the beach or pool. If you find it necessary to wash linens during your stay, please wash them separately from your own laundry to prevent staining. Linens that are stained beyond reasonable use will be charged to the guest account. Please avoid using bath towels, hand towels and washcloths for kitchen cleaning, hair dye, self tanner, makeup or other purposes likely to stain. We are a small business, so these costs add up!

Please fold and remove pillow shams and comforters from beds before use.

Cleaning, Soap and Paper Products

Starter cleaning supplies, toilet paper and soap are included with your rental. You will receive one set of trial-sized shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and bar soap per bathroom, along with at least one new, wrapped roll of toilet paper. A roll of paper towels, at least one trash bag, kitchen rag and sponge, with one dishwasher pod and dish soap are provided in the kitchen. Hand soap is provided for each sink. Upon departure, Lucky Enough Property Services requests guests empty the refrigerator, remove all trash, sweep or vacuum up excessive piles of sand and/or food on the floor and load/start the dishwasher.

Check-Out Maid Service

Check-out maid service is included with all vacation rentals. We do ask that you strip the beds and place all linens, with the exception of the bed covers, in one central location.

Amenities

Lucky Enough Property Services cannot guarantee the operability of swimming pools, hot tubs, heating/cooling units (HVAC), plumbing, and/or other appliances/electronics within a property. Refunds are not provided for the failure of these items to function properly, but prompt service to repair any item that falls within our right to repair (inside the rental unit) will be tended to promptly. We will communicate with the guest directly to coordinate service and repair.

Condominium and community amenities such as swimming pools, hot tubs, elevators and public spaces are maintained by each complex and/or its Home Owner Associations (HOA), which means they are beyond our control. Refunds are not offered in the event that one or more of these features is unavailable during your stay.

Damage and Liability

Compensation for damages that occur as a result of willful neglect, intentional abuse or exceeding occupancy limits is the responsibility of the occupying guests.

The Damage Waiver Fee covers some of the cost should these damages arise accidentally. Each unit is owned by an individual family, and Lucky Enough Property Services ensures that the quality of the unit is maintained through careful and intentional oversight.

Lucky Enough Property Services reserves the right to refuse service to any guest found to have violated policies and rules. Lucky Enough Property Services is not responsible for accidents or personal injury to guests or for loss of money, jewelry, or valuables of any kind.

Do not move or rearrange items within the property. The furnishings, kitchenware and other items are provided by each unit’s individual owner. If furniture is damaged due to being moved, stained or otherwise mistreated, the renter will accept full financial responsibility. Moving furniture could result in additional charges.

You and your guest are using our home at your own risk. Lucky Enough Property Services nor the owner of the property will be held responsible for any injuries that occur at the vacation rental or for any lost or stolen items.

Pest Control

South Carolina is home to many pests and insects, including the Palmetto Bug. All properties in our rental program are treated regularly; as such, you may be asked to allow access to pest control during your stay. If this happens, you will receive notice either directly from Lucky Enough Property Services or via public notice in the building you are in. These notices may appear in main entrances, doorways, or in elevators. Please pay attention to these notices and move personal items if they are along baseboards, as this is where the treatment is focused.

Parking

Parking can limited depending on the timing of your stay. Each condominium complex or community has its own rules and guidelines that they enforce. Lucky Enough Property Services is not in control of these rules, but must follow them. We can not help with parking disputes at private complexes or on county roadways. Every effort is made to make guests aware of parking availability and guidelines for your rental. This information is included in the property description. If bringing multiple vehicles, please verify that enough parking passes are available prior to booking. Trailers and golf carts are not permitted in any parking areas without prior permission.

Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Lucky Enough Property Services is not responsible for parking rules, vehicular towing, or parking tickets.

Campers and motor homes are not permitted on the premises of any property.

Pets

Lucky Enough Property Services has some properties that are pet-friendly. Please verify this status before booking if you plan to bring a pet. There is a $150 non-refundable pet fee per stay that must be paid at the time of booking. Pets are not allowed in units unless specifically stated in the listing. If a guest is discovered to have pets without prior approval, they will be asked to vacate the rental and will be assessed a fee of not less than $350 per pet and will be held liable for any damages resulting from the presence of the pet(s) discovered immediately or for up to 90 days after their departure. Pet waste must be fully cleaned up and placed in an appropriate outdoor receptacle. If pet waste is left behind, an additional $100 will be charged for cleaning.

Restrictions

Minimum Age: We do not rent to any persons under the age of 23, nor will we allow a guest under the age of 23 to check in or occupy the unit on behalf of the guest who signed the rental agreement. If a unit occupied by a group where there is not a registered guest over 23 is discovered, the group will be asked to vacate immediately and no refund will be given.

Charcoal Grills: Charcoal grilling is not allowed on porches and/or balconies.

Non-Smoking Condos and Homes: Lucky Enough Property Services operates only smoke- and vape-free units. Any unit discovered to have been smoked or vaped in is subject to a minimum of $100 fee for smoke removal.

Telephone: Please note that not all properties have telephones.

Other Restrictions: Many areas have restrictions regarding motorcycles, trailers, golf carts, fireworks, etc. If you plan to bring or use any of these items during your stay, please check with the property and local ordinances to see if it permits them before making your reservation. Cancellations for these reasons will not be honored.

Maintenance and Property Access

  • Entry: During reasonable hours, it is occasionally necessary for a us to enter a vacation property for repair, care, or management of a property. If this happens, will communicate it to you before, during and after the service call.

  • Owner's Closet: Any locked closet is for the storage of the property owner's private property. Do not attempt to open these areas.

  • Lock-Out Charge: A $50.00 service charge applies to guests locked out of the property and requiring assistance after business hours.

Construction

Construction and renovations are a common occurrence at the beach. Unfortunately, Lucky Enough Property Services cannot predict the location of all construction activity and is often unaware of these projects until they are started, so we are unable to forecast them and mention them prior to reservation. When we become aware of any construction issue, we will communicate that to you. Transfers to other properties are sometimes, but infrequently, available, and refunds are not offered for this reason.

Left Behind Items

Lucky Enough Property Services is not responsible for personal items left behind. Items not claimed within 30 days will be given to a local charity. Upon request, we will send recovered items via local mailing service at the guest’s expense.
